You can delete your DreamU account and the data attached to it at any time. There are two ways to do it.
IN THE APP (FASTEST)
Open DreamU, go to Settings, and choose Delete Account. This starts the deletion immediately — you do not need to contact us or wait for us to action it.
BY EMAIL
If you cannot get into your account, email support@dreamusoccer.com from the address on the account, with your name and the email address you signed up with. We will confirm and process it. If you are a parent or guardian asking us to delete a child's account, say so and we will help.
WHAT GETS DELETED
Your profile and everything in it — name, photo, bio, high school and club team, positions, athletic measurements, academic information and event schedule; your highlight videos and images; the messages you sent to coaches and the replies you received; your date of birth; your sign-in credentials; and the reply addresses issued so coaches could write back to you, which stop working right away.
We complete deletion within 30 days. The short window is a safety net against an accidental deletion, not an archive — nothing is used for anything during it, and your profile stops being visible to coaches immediately.
WHAT WE KEEP, AND WHY
One thing survives deleting your account, on purpose. If a coach has told us never to contact them again, we keep a record of that request permanently. It belongs to the coach rather than to you, and if we deleted it we would start contacting them again the next time we refreshed our directory. It contains the coach's address and their decision — nothing about you.
We may also keep records the law requires us to keep, such as purchase records for tax purposes, and anonymous counts that identify nobody.
IF YOU ONLY WANT SOME OF IT GONE
You do not have to delete the whole account. You can remove your photo, your highlights, your academic information and most other fields directly in the app, and keep the account.
